For Too Long

For Too Long
I leave the building, I lock the door
the town is breathing quietly
wonder if they’re sleeping, I wonder if they’re weeping
underneath the blankets of home
I walk the alleys through steady lights
this is the time of black and white
but inside the dreamers, the world’s unfolding
in colours that I have never seen
I’ve been waiting for dreams too long, too long
always searching for what’s real for too long, for too long
the morning hours are getting close
the early worker’s leaving home
reading the headlines of untouched papers
assuming that the world survived the night
black tea is steaming, just like my brain
the only proof that I’m awake
I’d like to rest now and lay down my head now
and let it all just float away fro me
I’ve been waiting for dreams too long, too long
always searching for what’s real for too long, for too long

The Town

The Town
I woke up in the yellow sand
of the eastern part of no man’s land
there was a little town nearby
where the roofs were low and the trees were high
my sweaty hair was dusty still
when I entered town I felt the thrill
my inside was dry as hell
and my nose was filled with the desert smell
I shure was feeling like a alien
green skin and seven eyes, they’ll never let me in
fix me a toast, don’t care if it’s made by a bartender ghost
and I would not mind a glass of water
I heard the sound of the rusty mill
just like in movies, but no gunman still
I finally found the local bar
the holy wet was no longer far
now I rushed into this house of steel and rock and wood
the jukebox playing elvis
fix me a toast, don’t care if it’s made by a bartender ghost
and I would not mind a glass of water
there was a man with eyes of cold
he stared at me and I stared back and then he smiled with teeth of black
no water there but loads of wine
never mind, now it’s drinking time

A Tear Of Joy

A Tear Of Joy
The grass will grow
the trees won‘t fall no more
the apes will smile
the story’s been told before
for just one blink
of natures eyes we last
she’s moving on
neither slow nor fast
I see the breaking ball laughing
nice try, but now wave goodbye to what’s been
the only thing
that’s left is the now and pure
one step, one word
the embrace of the insecure
and time will tell
the tale of human’s care
no heroes there
but failures everywhere
I see the breaking ball laughing
nice try, but now wave goodbye to what’s been
the anthroposphere’s gone to the ground
our legacy will be drowned
in the mighty sea of one nature’s tear
a tear of joy, no tear of fear
this happy song
is made for those who play
and show their teeth
and say what’s left to say
and set their eyes on
fire like a dog in love
and breathe the air
free like a flying dove
I see the breaking ball laughing
nice try, but now wave goodbye to what’s been

Playin' On

PLAYIN’ ON
In grey, he stands alone
with an old trombone
ready it seems
up here, he’s own his own
he’s flesh and bone
chasing dreams
the spots, and the welcome cheers
the nervous tears
tension’s strong
it’s dark and it’s raining too
his coat won’t do
nor will his hat
eyes turned towards the winds
the show begins
in b flat
and he plays wonderful notes
the band backing up his pulse
until he falls
to his end
and now his life is done
with his dreams he’s one
playing on

No Dress Code

No Dress Code
we follow too
we get old too
it’s nice to live life in colour
it’s hard to move and breathe in a bottle
let go of roots
dance through dark woods
in suits we’ll walk under ladders
in masks we’ll talk about the weather
in broken cars we’ll go racing
a poisoned fruit we’ll be tasting
we’ll take care too
belts we’ll wear too
reflecting capes of gold and silver
with nothing else, we won’t shiver

Paradise

Paradise
blue waterfalls, they hide the rocks
sharp stone and endless caves
like children dancing on the grass
that covers empty graves
their mother’s clapping to the beat
her body’s shivering still
I’m listening to my own screams
and I hear angel’s violins
I’m sleeping in the car
I lie smoking on the ground
I’m sweating on the beach
I’m singing in the church
large busses driving through the rain
the perfume’s evil grin
the VIPs with eyes in pain
cause no one’s gonna win
I’m sleeping in the car
I lie smoking on the ground
I’m sweating on the beach
I’m singing in the church
I’m breathing under water
balloons stuck in the ground
all waiting to get colder
all waiting to be found
I’m sleeping in the car
I lie smoking on the ground
I’m sweating on the beach
I’m singing in the church

Hydra

Hydra
Reflecting light
blinding his eyes, purple red in white
his lids are shut
swallowing winds, he cannot stop
the howls of late
like specters in pain, but he needs to wait
no matter what may cross his road
it'll fade away before his mind can take a rest
and if his back breaks, he'll embrace the load
like a hydra losing heads to pass the test
arrows made of steel
fizzling through airs that feel unreal
the aim is clear
he won't cover his head, despite his fear
reborn to fail
once more getting lost in this part of the trail
through frozen rain he feels the flow
that came upon his life before his lifelong quest
and if his back breaks, he'll embrace the load
like a hydra losing heads to pass the test

Come Up On Stage

COME UP ON STAGE
day’s gone, the night time’s here
the lack of the lights and the heat
will welcome a sparkling fear
walk through the haze and dust
like a ship in a storm you could brake
but in edgy risk you trust
take a bath in a freezing waterfall
save your coins in a broken rusty bowl
you came up on that stage when strings were covered in sweat
the guitars were screaming and the drums exploding with every beat
Yell to the fox in me
Never show your sweet back on that stage
the audience will shout and flee
play loud and tickle me
never play save and soft, play it real
no need to rescue me
train your horse in a field of burning weed
let your heart be tempted of this dangerous seed
you came up on that stage when the keys were covered in blood
the bass man was stuck in the ground caused by his deep frequency flood
run down the steep mountain side
till it turns into falling, then fly
towards the open and wide
be that falcon that’s shrieking through the air
the blackest eyes watching me from up there
won’t you come up on stage
won’t you come up on stage
